How To Share Electro-Stimulation With Your Partner

Erotic electro-stimulation sex toys offer a completely unique way of sharing pleasure as a couple. In the next few paragraphs we’ll explain how couples share electro sex toys and have a huge wealth of options they can explore. E-stim truly becomes its more versatile with a partner, so if you’ve enjoyed the experience of sharing traditional sex toys like vibrators with your lover then you’re likely to love the sensual shared experiences that e-stim has to offer.

Because electro-stimulation works by sending a current of electricity through your body, you actually become part of an erotic electrical circuit. The Electro Stimulator provides the power and an electro sex toy, also known as an electrode, provides the conductive surface to transmit the electricity to your body. If you think about it in terms of a simple circuit like you would have created in a physics class, the stimulator is the battery, the connecting wire tips are the electrodes and the light bulb that illuminates when both tips are touched to it is your body.

In order to complete the circuit your body needs to bridge the gap between contacts, just like both wires need to touch the light bulb to light it up. With a bi-polar electrode such as the Wave Dildo, this is as simple as inserting the dildo. Once inside you, both of the contacts are touching you and the circuit is complete, resulting in some pretty sexy sensations for you.

Uni-polar electrodes are a little different in that you have two different sex toys that need to be touching your body to complete the circuit. These could be a Conductive Pad and an Electro Cock Ring or any other combination of uni-polar sex toys. If you’re wearing the cock ring around your penis and the pad on your thigh, you’ll feel sensations as both electrodes are touching your body, but if you remove the pad or ring you won’t feel anything.

Sharing ElectraStim Sex Toys With Your Partner:

When you share a circuit, the sensation travels between the electrodes via your bodies. That means that if you're both wearing an electrode, that everywhere your skin touches will become alive with electro-stimulation. Try an electro-kiss by wearing a sticky pad on each of your thighs then lightly brushing lips as you turn the stimulation up.

Now you know how erotic electro-stimulation circuits work, it’s easy to see how you can share the love with your partner. Instead of completing the circuit with your own body, you can add your partner to it for synchronised sensations you both feel everywhere you touch.

If he were to wear a pad near the base of his shaft and she were to wear a Pad on her mons pubis, neither would feel sensation until their bodies touch. When their bodies come together they will both feel sensation through their electrodes as well as everywhere they touch. When the tingles and contractions of EES are felt in this way, penetrative sex is transformed as both of their genitals become living electrodes. He’ll throb deeply inside her in time with stimulation and she’ll respond in kind with pelvic floor contractions that clench around his length.

You don’t have to be a man and a woman for it to work, you can be any gender or sexuality and you can use any electrodes you like! You can even use bi-polar electrodes as uni-polar electrodes by inserting just a single 2mm pin on the Stimulator connecting wire into the base, so it’s possible to use 2 bi-polar butt plugs or dildos together on the same circuit.

Safety and Erotic Electro-Stimulation

When sharing sensations, it’s OK to touch and kiss one another above the waist but you should follow these additional guidelines:

  • Pads to be attached below the waist such that stimulation cannot flow directly across the heart
  • Maximum intensity level of 6 when touching with any part of the body above the waist
  • Normal warnings still apply

How To Tease Your Partner With Electro

Our ElectraStim Flick Stimulators are our latest innovation in erotic electro-stimulation technology. The USB rechargeable design makes them our most slimline unit ever and despite their small size we’ve managed to pack in a range of features to make them a real enhancement to your couples and solo sex life.

The main feature of Flick is its motion-activated settings that allow you to synchronise stimulation with both the pattern and intensity of your movements. You ‘Flick’ by holding the stimulator flat and shaking it up and down similarly how you'd shake a bottle of juice to mix it. Because the motion-activated sensor is incredibly sensitive, it’s easy to turn using Flick modes into an erotic tease-fest to drive your partner (or yourself!) wild with desire.

How To Use The Flick Settings To Maximum Erotic Effect

The best way to understand how the Flick settings work is to try them out on yourself. If you have the ElectraStim Flick EM60, you have one Flick setting to play with. ElectraStim Flick has 4 different settings to try out that change how stimulation is felt across 2 channels. Flick Duo is slightly more complex but the settings can easily be mastered. To learn how to operate both Flick Stimulators, take a look at our Stimulator Advice Guides for each model.

When you activate Flick, your movements will be translated into a stimulation pattern. The faster you shake the unit, the quicker the bursts of stimulation will feel. The slower you shake the unit, the longer the bursts of stimulation will feel. Likewise, the harder you shake the unit, the more intense stimulation will feel. In order to tease your lover with Flick, you’ll want to create a rhythm that starts of slowly with a gentle intensity, building up to faster, more intense stimulation.

How To Create A Teasing Pattern

To tease your lover you’ll want to spend a lot of time lingering, escalating the speed and intensity of stimulation and then slowing down again. In domination circles this practice is known as ‘tease and denial’ – the art of leading someone to the brink of orgasm but denying them gratification by winding down the action before they reach their climactic burst.

To effectively tease you’ll need to know your partner’s erotic response cycle flows and how their body and body language changes on the approach to orgasm. Once you have these signs pinned down you’ll find it easy to wind them up and down again without a happy ending. Flick is the perfect way to tease because it’s so versatile. There’s no need to mess about with controls if you need to tail off stimulation, you can simply slow your motions and use softer force or stop your movements (and stimulation) all together.

  • Start off with a low intensity that’s just strong enough for your partner to feel tingling stimulation on the lowest Flick setting. The lowest setting is marked by a single green light on the digital display that will illuminate when you’re flicking as softly as possible. The highest Flick setting on your selected intensity is the red light on the Flick display and this will illuminate when you’ve maxed out power. To increase intensity further at this point you’ll need to up the power level on the stimulator as no matter how hard you shake, the power output won’t climb any higher.

Regardless of which type of electrode you’re using, the teasing method stays exactly the same.

  • Gently rock your stimulator up and down to create long, drawn-out waves of stimulation that are low in intensity. A slow wave pattern like this is the ideal way to help the initial stages of arousal to blossom. You should continue with this pattern until your partner is begging you to intensify the sensations or squirming against the electrode to deepen the sensations they feel.
  • When you reach this stage, slightly quicken your pattern and increase the force you’re using to shake the stimulator. The soft, slow waves should become quicker and more powerful to increase arousal and commence the escalation to orgasm. Watch your partner carefully to see how they react and when they’re once again eager for more, you can intensify things further.
  • Shake Flick in a combination of slower waves with more force and intermittent bursts of intense pulses (created by shaking the stimulator up and down very quickly). You can create a pattern with a predictable repetition for the best response or choose to mix things up with a spontaneous pattern that prevents your partner from anticipating which stimulation type will happen when. The first is likely to lead them to climax faster so you’ll have to slow down sooner but the latter is harder to predict and could unexpectedly lead them to orgasm.

Every couple has their own rhythm and pattern, so it may take you a few attempts to nail the tease and denial method of play. Part of the fun is in the experimentation, so try out a variety of techniques and tricks to see what has your partner squirming the most for erotic play that will leave them breathless time and time again.

Can My Partner & I Use Different Electro Toys At The Same Time?

Most of our ElectraStim Stimulators are single-channel electro sex machines that can be used for solo play or for sharing sensations using a single output. But what if you and your partner have different preferences? This article explains how to share electro sex stimulation using a dual channel stimulator. Because single-channel stimulators only have one output, you have to use the same intensity level and that’s not always ideal.

For couples wanting an erotic electro stimulation experience that’s more in tune with their individual desires, a dual-channel stimulator is the way forward. They have two outputs instead of one and the channels are completely isolated, allowing you to select different intensity levels for each. If you like a mid-range intensity and your partner prefers a more intense stimulation setting, you’ll both be happy with a dual-channel stimulator.

We sell two different dual-channel stimulators, the ElectraStim Flick EM80 which is a rechargeable stimulator that also has a motion-activated mode, and our SensaVox Stimulator which can be controlled using voice commands and music.

How To Use Dual Channel Stimulators?

Using a dual-channel stimulator is exactly the same as using a single-channel unit each, except all of the controls are housed in one unit. To the left is channel 1 and to the right is channel 2. Each channel has its own set of controls below the output that allows intensity to be modified to a level that each of you is happy with.

When using a channel each, you won’t be able to feel the stimulation your partner feels. The isolated controls mean that you’ll only experience the stimulation setting that you have selected.

ElectraStim SensaVox

Generally speaking you’ll feel the same pattern setting as your partner but both of our dual-channel stimulators have settings to shake things up. Flick allows you to use motion-activated stimulation in a variety of ways. Choose to Flick on either channel while the other stimulates with a continuous stream, enjoy motion-activated stimulation across both channels or have Flick alternate across both channels so you feel motion-activated stimulation one at a time. Flick also has 8 pattern settings – 4 that alternate across the channels and 4 that stimulate you both at the same time.

SensaVox provides a similar experience, you can choose to set stimulation to be controlled using either the microphone or an audio input so music creates a pattern. You can use both of these settings to experience stimulation on channel 1, channel 2 or on both channels at the same time. All of SensaVox’s patterns stimulate across both channels at the same time, with the exception of pattern 8 which plays a pattern on channel 1 and constant stimulation on channel 2.

Sharing Electro-Stimulation With Dual-Channel Stimulators

You can still enjoy the synchronised pleasure of sharing a single channel on a dual-channel stimulator but you get twice the number of electrodes to play with. Choose to share sensations on one channel or both. If you opt to use just a single channel you don’t need to connect any electrodes to the other channel and can leave the intensity at 0.

When using both channels you can each use a uni-polar electrode on both channels at the same time.

For example you can each use an ElectraPad on channel 1 and a second ElectraPad on channel 2.

You can even connect a pin from each output to the same bi-polar electrode so that when you select an alternating pattern, you feel sensations at different times through each contact. However you choose to share sensations with a dual-channel stimulator, remember that you’ll only feel sensation when you and your partner are touching one another. When you complete the circuit by touching, you’ll both feel sensation everywhere you touch as well as through the electrodes you’re using.
